I was delighted to be asked back again to the 14th All Ireland Radiation Therapy Study Day on the 1st of March at St James Hospital Dublin in the Trinity Centre for Health and Science.
"People are always touching and petting my wig!!!"
This was one of many hilarious comments made during our workshop yesterday. It was a day of great laughs, special moments, and great tips and techniques not only from Martina the skin care specialist from Clinique in Arnotts, also Maureen our beauty specialist, and myself demonstrating styling techniques with wigs and head wear.
A big thanks to Dave for baking such delicious home made cup cakes!
SnipsWigs are delighted to be attending and exhibiting at the Irish Cancer Society 50 years National Conference 2013. It will take place on 20th and 21st September in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin and will be attended by approximately 800 cancer patients, survivors and family members.
I was privileged to have been asked to attend the All Ireland Radiation Therapy Day 2013 in St Vincent’s private on Saturday the 9th March.
There were nurses from all the major Dublin hospitals and from around the country in attendance. I was there to show and explain the many different options if hair loss occurs while receiving radiation to the head. I also talked and explained why it is advised not to colour hair while on radiotherapy as there are many misconceptions about whether or not one can colour hair while on and after radiation.
There was a good day had by all especially the winner of our Luxurious Organic Hair Hamper.
